I really like this kind of news, new versions of docker and RedHat:

  • Docker 1.0: this is the first stable version after more than one year of development. This version is production ready and I will start using it asap.
  • RedHat 7: this is a good news as the version 6 started to be a little bit old now. What’s new?
    • MariaDB replace MySQL \o/
    • Docker integrated
    • systemd
    • XFS by default
    • Kernel 3.10

Now we’re waiting on CentOS 7 🙂

  1. Docker 1.0 is a really good news but I’m a little disappointed they don’t include at least a kernel 3.13 who include nftables 🙁

  2. Sadly… indeed 🙁 Did you try the new Linux firewall?

  3. Unfortunately not yet but keep very interested in it

  4. This page is very interesting: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Nftables.

I tried it with the last version of Ubuntu serveur who include 3.13 kernel. But I’m waiting for testing with a 3.14 kernel who include hybrid table for dual stack ipv4/ipv6.
