On android, you may need some folder to no being indexed. It could be photos or videos… To do so, use a ES Explorer for example and a ‘.nomedia’ file inside the desired folder. No index will be done in that folder. I like to do it when I temporary add TV series and don’t want them to be indexed. By this way I don’t see them in the Gallery application for example.

Nexus 5 today :-)

I’m happy to receive the new Nexus 5 today. I love the Nexus 4 but…do not have enough space on it, even with the 16G version. So I have bought the 32G and will be happy to get the photo stabilizer. Those are the major enhancement that makes me take the new Nexus. I’m waiting the Cyanogen ROM to get all advanced features I like and hope it will be available soon.

Selfoss is a self-hosted RSS reader solution. It could be compared to Tiny Tiny RSS or Feedly. I liked to test that nice solution. But I’m still staying with Fever, as there is no Android version working with Selfoss (only an old one exist, but doesn’t work) and the web interface is a little bit slow (compared to Fever). I hope this will be better in a short term as this is the most elegant Open Source version I’ve tested for now.

Since I’m an Android user, I try to find all apps that daily helps me. As I’ve spent several hours to test and configure them, I would like to share my experience with other peoples that want to switch from iOS like me. I’ve wrote several posts on this blog since 2 years while trying to switch from iOS to Android. The first time I tried, I was on a 2.x version of Android and a lot of missing features didn’t helped me to switch. My cell phone was a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I really can’t stand on Samsung Touchwizz layer. That why I decided to install a Mod called Cyanogen (you’ve certainly already have heard of this).

Back to iPhone !
